Incentive Driven College Savings Program

Thank you for your interest in the Monetta College Savings and Learning Program.

The primary objectives of this program are to:
1. Provide a fund option (Young Investor Fund) that is designed for long-term investors, including     young investors, who seek growth of capital by investing at least 50% of its net assets in other     funds that track the Standard & Poor's 500 Stock Index and the balance in common stocks that     are recognized by children and teenagers. The themed investment approach provides an     opportunity to teach investors the fundamentals of investing
2. Teach children and teenagers the basics of saving and investing by providing an opportunity to     win prizes and earn awards for participating in various educational games and activities.
3. Accumulate college Tuition Rewards/credits up to $24,710 per student.
4. Encourage financial literacy through Monetta’s website, newsletters, short story collection and     investment tutorial.

Guidelines To Start Investing with Monetta
An investment account may be opened with a minimum deposit of $100 with a monthly automatic investment plan deposit of at least $25, or with a $1,000 deposit. We encourage all participants to join the Automatic Investment Plan (AIP)* as we believe that this can be an effective means of achieving an educational savings goal.

When you open a custodial or coverdell education savings account, the child will receive a Monetta "Investment Kit" consisting of an educational activity book, storybook, wallet and the most recent quarterly newsletter. Also included is "Steady Eddy", the colorful bean-filled train engine, with the establishment of an AIP Custodial Account.

Tuition Rewards are remitted solely as a reduction from the college’s full tuition bill and are not awarded in cash. Tuition Rewards are not taxable and do not affect Federal financial aid eligibility. Tuition Rewards are administered by SAGE Scholars, a college savings plan founded by the former dean of admissions & financial aid at the Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania. Participating college's or universities may individually impose rules and regulations governing the use of these rewards. A sponsor must identify designated students (“beneficiaries”) at least two years before beginning college; a sponsor can support multiple students from the same family. Children, grandchildren, stepchildren, nieces and nephews are eligible. A designated student may receive Tuition Rewards from multiple sponsors. Tuition Rewards are applied evenly over a four-year undergraduate education and accumulate semi-annually, equal to 2.5% of the sponsor’s account value on June 30 and December 31 of each year. Each student can apply “up to” a maximum of 25% per year of the participating college’s current annual tuition cost. Participating colleges reserve the right to send admissions information to designated students once they reach high school age. Colleges reserve the right to blend Tuition Rewards into a total financial aid package offered to admitted students, and participation in the Tuition Rewards Program is not a guarantee of admission.
